                9am-noon  and 1pm-3pm

You will need to bring your student id and sign for your tickets. Please do not randomly stop by the office for your tickets, as they will be locked up at other times.

Assistant Professor, General Faculty
The University of Virginia Department of Media Studies seeks to fill a non-tenure track Academic General Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, during the 2017-2018 academic year. The initial one-year appointment may be renewable for an additional year contingent upon funding, satisfactory performance, and departmental teaching needs. A teaching load of 2-2 is anticipated, and compensation will take the form of part- time salary with benefits. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, Media Policy, Race/Ethnicity and Media, Global Media, or Media History. The position will begin in the fall 2017 with an anticipated start date of July 25, 2017.
Successful candidates must have completed a PhD in Media/Screen/Communication Studies or related field no later than May 2017.

Lecturer in Media Studies

Graduation will be held May 20, 2017. If your parents will need a hotel, book early! Rooms fill up quickly.

The Department ceremony will be held in Old Cabell Hall at 12:30. Please note that tickets for the Department ceremony will be limited to 3 per student.
